Ex President John Dramani Mahama Boycotts The Green Ghana Project.
Ex President of the Republic of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama refused to take part in the national tree planting exercise dubbed “The Green Ghana Project”.
Several dignitaries and statesmen including the King of the Asante Kingdom Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ababio, Ex President John Agyekum Kufuor, the President of the Republic H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamud Bawumia, Foreign Diplomats, Citizens and others took part in the exercise.
As usual of him to boycott state colored functions and activities, former president John Dramani Mahama proved once more his unpatriotism, hatred and disapproval of anything good that comes as a President Akufo-Addo’s governance initiative. Same must be condemned and frowned upon.
The former president must learn to live up to the standards of statesmanship. His attitude is, if not weird, unmeritorious of his stature, uncalled for and unsatisfactory for national development. He must learn to do for others what he would wish to be done for him if he was President of the Republic.
The former president is thus entreated, as a matter of concern and urgency to join the exercise. This is a national project and must not at any point be painted with extreme partisanship. Henceforth, as citizens, we want to see the former president also plant at least a tree in our quest to conserve our ecosystem.
