Re-appoint Madam Lydia Dsane-Selby for her hardwork and competence in revamping NHIS
We, members of BoomBoo4Nana, a pro-NPP group made up of law students, wish to plead to the President, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, to as a matter of fact, re-appoint Madam Lydia Dsane Selby, the immediate past CEO of National Health Insurance Authority (N.H.I.A), as the CEO for the authority. This has become necessary due to the overwhelming changes and improvements she brought to the NHIS scheme and how it contributed alot to the success of the President’s re-election bid.
With the inception of the Mobile Renewal service of the national health insurance scheme, the prompt payment of claims of service providers and many more, she contributed to the development of the scheme and made life more easier in terms accessibility of health facilities. Currently, the NHIS has about 23.1 million registered members, which is about 77% of the estimated population and is trying to ensure that everyone becomes registered and active on the scheme. As we speak the scheme is embarking on mass membership mobilization across the country to capture every citizen, leaving no one behind.
Aside her competent Leadership style with the NHIA, she also did yeoman’s jobs during the 2020 elections, providing resources to the party especially volunteer goups and the grassroots. She also supported some regions especially Central and some volunteer groups of which BoomBoom4Nana was lucky to be part of this kind gesture!
It’s therefore not a misplaced call to join thousands of people calling for her appointnent to be placed at where she served for the last four years. To us and many others, we believe 2024 is a big challenge for us and one of the things that could decide for us is the people we put in our various Ministries and states institutions. It’s therefore important that, we place competent persons to manage these institutions as well, help the grassroots base of the party so we can achieve the Objective set for 2024.
We are humbly calling on the President to consider this suggestion and give Madam Lydia Dsane the nod to continue to serve the NPP and Morther Ghana.
Long live Lydia Dsane Selby
Long live NPP
Long live Ghana
