It is in the interest of this administration to be furnished with issues affecting the Free SHS policy being implemented across the country.

It is in the interest of this administration to be furnished with issues affecting the Free SHS policy being implemented across the country.

What is worrying, however, is this grand scheme to create the impression that until Free SHS was rolled out, there were no challenges in the sector.

At all cost, report these issues but do so in a manner that would not seem to suggest that there is a deliberate attempt to make a monster out of Free SHS.

When that is done, one would conclude that these are not genuine concerns and that the ultimate motive is to paint the policy black.

No pro-poor policy in the history of Ghana can best Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS. It is a legacy worth protecting but in our efforts to protect same, honesty must be the watchword.

Report the challenges, but don’t do so with the intention of making the government look bad. Report the issues and they will be dealt with.
