The office of MMDCE’s is pivotal to the success of the Akufo-Addo led administration and also instrumental in breaking the eight(8) year cycle

Dear Patriots.

As we wait the announcement of the list of nominees for the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the coming days, I want to seize this opportunity to plead with all committed patriots to exercise patience and be moderate in our expectations and subsequent commentaries.

As we all know, the office of MMDCE’s is pivotal to the success of the Akufo-Addo led administration and also instrumental in breaking the eight(8) year cycle. Any agitation or deviant behavior will portray unpleasant impression about the NPP government and undermine our preparedness in ‘Breaking the Eight’.

Notwithstanding, I am highly optimistic and without doubt in H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s sense of judgment in his selection. It is expected that the lion’s share of our party will be coordinated by these MMDCE’s in collaboration with our respective constituency executives. Imperatively, H.E President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s choice will be in the ultimate interest of our party and aid in ‘Breaking the Eight’.

I therefore humbly plead with fellow patriots to be circumspect in our responses and reactions after the announcement of nominees in the coming days.

Our political opponents are watching with an eagle eye and sensor of a snake to make political capital out of any disapproval or rejection of the nominations. Such act(s) will be classified as disrespectful to the Presidency and we need to guard against that.

That notwithstanding, our party executives (Constituency, Regional and National) and all other stockholders who mattered in the selection process, I believed acted with extreme caution and professionalism, devoid of any form of favoritism, nepotism and discriminatory practices. Meritocracy was the benchmark in the selection process.

The New Patriotic Party being noted as the apostles of rule of law and trailblazers of participatory democracy can not have it’s supporters agitating over a fair and transparent selection process of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.

Congratulations in advance to all successful nominees, make the President and the party proud of your nomination. And to all unsuccessful applicants, let embark on a path that strengthen the unity of our party rather than causing disturbances within the party in expressing our disappointment.

Together, we can ‘break the Eight’.

God Bless The President.
God Bless NPP.
God Bless Ghana
