WHEN SOME CHURCH MEMBERS DO NOT WANT TO MARRY COMMON SENSE….
The rather quixotic emprise of giving false prophecies appears to be gaining currency since the general public, especially, members of the churches whose pastors come out with these prophecies seem not to apply reason to these sermons.
Karl Marx’s opinionated rendition of religion being the opium of the masses is turning out to be true in the face of some happenings over the past few days and many others which have been happening over the years.
The susceptibility of members of some churches to the prophecies of some self-styled prophets brandishing themselves as leaders and general overseers of churches is mind boggling.
Emmanuel Badu Kobi has been calling himself a prophet because he spews prophecies which do not come to pass, yet his church members continue to frequent his church on Sundays.
These gullible church members of Badu Kobi, even after his ‘Brazil Would Beat Argentina’ went off the mark, thronged the church’s premises in their numbers. They found completely nothing wrong with his false prophecy the day before the match.
Emboldened by the fleeceable nature of his church members, Badu Kobi stood in front of them on Sunday and gave another prophecy to the effect that England was going to defeat Italy with ease and his church members clapped, danced and even cheered him as though they’d been hypnotized.
As bad luck would have it, Italy ended up winning the Euro2020 trophy, contrary to his prophecy. This false prophecy would not keep his church members at bay, for they will troop there in their numbers to worship him.
There appears to be no end in sight to these false prophets continuing to hold sway in the affairs of these church members. For if Badu Kobi or his friends in the ministry wake up to empty church buildings, these people would stop desecrating the name of God.
